I see that Factory Pro has released V stacks for the 14.  They claim to add   4-5 hp @ 10k.  I have an '08 14 as was wondering if you all were going to test these stacks.  Didn't know how much the extra compression and air flow would affect your map (all Brocked out w/the shortmeg)???

The 14 is a very map dependent motorcycle.  When you change anything on it, custom mapping is required.

I already have four maps Brock sent to me (BPP-ZX1408-AH-B-PCV_STREET-MAP1.pvm; BPP-ZX1408-AH-B-PCV_TRACK-NOSEC-MAP1.pvm; BPP-ZX1408-SM-NB-PCV_TRACK-NOSEC-MAP1.pvm; BPP-ZX1408-StreetSmart-ALL-PCV_STREET-NOSEC-MAP1.pvm) but no one makes any mention of the velocity stacks, can you help me with this? I read all the notes inside the maps and PCV software and velocity stacks do not appears

The length of the stacks do not change the air/fuel ratio, the maps you have will be fine.

Federimau,

We have not seen any gain on stock motors by changing timing but we will be testing the new ignition module that works with the PCV.

federimau,

Our ZX-14 SuperSport race program, with our rider Rickey Gadson, underwent extensive ignition timing testing on the dyno and race track. Our engine contained 100% Kawasaki parts from the factory, only cylinder head milling and cam timing changes are allowed in the class --- as far as I am concerned this is the same as stock. We set the 1/8 and 1/4 AMA Dragbike national ET records and won the Championship in 2009... using the stock ignition timing.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks Brocks, I already have a new alien head full system, how can I enjoy a discount program? I´ll buy racing chains, ceramic bearings, swingarm extension and lowering link.

Have you noticed any difference with the Stacks and the timing change? I have a set of stacks in the mail coming for my ZX10 and the timing has been changed as well. I just haven't been able to test it yet.

you can change the timing in the first 4 or 5 gears to de-restrict the factory (u can feel the difference)... with the stack is hard to say... We´ll need to test some differents tunings at the dyno

I have an 08 zx14 and was wondering if velocity stacks would be a good purchase, I already had my ECU Flashed by GUHLS, just looking for some recommendations for a lil more HP
