04 Busa daily driver and brackets on the weekend. New Hayabusa package, muzzy high pressure air shifter, air filter block off lid, (track use only), 16 front gear, 40 rear gear, ceramic street bearings, Shinko Ultra soft rear tire. Would a non o-ring chain help on ET/MPH but not hurt for a daily driver? I put about 3-4k miles street per year. Can someone recommend a chain or does Brock sell them? What would be the next power adder to my combo listed? Rick |

RK makes a solid roller, that is almost half what the DRZ costs from EK , it is a true 530, not the heavy 530 with 630 width plates, and is within 500lbs of the EK DRZ. I have one on my 68 inch 12, and with a very conservative clutch set up, (low 1.4s all day with a lock up), i usually adjust it one flat on the bolt per race......, tough chain......, mine was cheap and I paid for 160 links, I think it was around 100 bones. Even when trying some new set up and doing 1.37 to 1.39 short times, it did not stretch more........., and that was with absolutely NO wheel spin on a MCR

If you stretched a DRZ, you must have been street riding, which is not the intent of the chain, it is a drag chain, you wont stretch it dragging, but riding it in the gunk and not taking care of it will make it stretch, I used mine on a bike that did 1.32 short times, I hardly had to adjust it.........
I think you are in the minority with that one......... |

I RODE MINE ON THE STREET WITH A DR2 KEPT IT CLEAN AND LUBED IT OFTEN ITS A PAIN BUT THAT CHAIN ISNT MEANT FOR STREET USE AS LONG AS YOU CLEAN AND LUBE IT IT WONT STRETCH MUCH AND THE WHEEL WIL SPIN FREELY 4-5 TIMES |
