POST FROM PSYCHOBIKE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE

I was glad to hear about this thread.

It demonstrates what a HORRIBLE job we do of getting information to customers and potential customers!

These are the EXACT dyno chart comparisons we used to produce our Hayabusa 4-2-1 Sidewinder at the Hindle Factory last fall. FYI: We used our Top End Kit on a brand new, completely stock Bottom End with a completely stock cylinder head. We usually don't post Dyno comparisons between our products and others. We in NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM intend to slam or bad-mouth the competition! As far as we are concerned these charts are FACTS:

http://www.brocksperformance.com/absoluteig/gallery.asp?categoryid=8

Of course, there are more things to think about than just superior Horsepower and Torque

1. Our 4-2-1 Sidewinder Race system weighs a little over 8 lbs.

2. We allow easy oil filter replacement/trackside maintenance via our spring tab mounting design.

3. We utilize an over-sized primary and secondary design which has PROVEN to produce higher MPH on the track by allowing maximum efficiency from the factory Ram-Air System.

4. Our 4-into-2-into-1 tapered head pipe front section produces a superb low/mid- range torque curve with the peak power punch of a megaphone..from Stock displacement to the largest of engines.

5. We ACCELERATION test our pipes on the Dyno (I haven't even heard of net guys talking about this processand we have done it since 1999) and Race track.

6. We provide base maps (stock or built engine) for Power Commanders or the Brock s Performance/BPD ECU.

7. We include a fairing cut-out template.

8. Our system was built around our flat-bottom oil pan for maximum slamability .

9. Our system is show-polished ultra-light Stainless Steel with a removable billet aluminum baffle - STANDARD. (Unlike some systems the baffle IS NOT required to get the bike to leave hard!)

10. We allow the use of your stock OIL COOLER. (STILL, THE ONLY Sidewinder on the market to make this claim I believe.)

For More Information on the 4-2-1 Sidewinder:

http://www.brocksperformance.com/Exhaust-Systems+C2.aspx

We also have a new Street Megaphone System..for the look, sound, and power of a Sidewinder with the cornering clearance of a Street System.all WITHOUT any Fairing modifications:

http://www.brocksperformance.com/Suzuki+C96.aspx

I hope this helps clear things up a bit,

Brock

I have a built gsxr 1000 (1070) 180hp + or - depending on air, dyno etc.  I have tried several exhausts including the standard Hindle . Currently have an Akrapovich. It lost down low and in the mid range over the Muzzy, Yosh and standard Hindle but after 8k to redline it had big gains. I do not want to lose that or have clearance issue with my carbon fibre bodywork.  Are there any bodywork modfications required? Do you have compairsions to the Akra or Ti force with a modfied 1000?

I was down at Prostars this past week and saw your display and the sidewinder. It looks purty!  but I did not see one on any of the 1ks that were on display to answer my bodywork question.

I want to clean up the rear look without going to one of them gay undertail exhaust and do not want to lose top end hp the Akra makes.

The new sidewinder for the  1000 GSXR doesn't require any bodywork modifications. You should have a lot more ground clearence. (a whole lot more with a low profile oil pan) We are still doing the final testing with this system. When we are done we will post the numbers compared to the regular Brock Street Smart system.

STAY TUNED...

This pipe flat rocks.

Brock, I have your system and i wouldn't trade it in for the world.  I had a friend yesterday inquire, why didn't I go with Akropovic?  I noticed that you have Dynos for alot of different pipes, also I read alot of your comparisons, but I never heard you mention Akro.  Why?  Is there no comparison?

NO!

Nothing of the sort…. The Akro is a BEAUTIFUL pipe…almost artwork.

Did you know their fabricators used to work in the Soviet space program?

They simply make a pipe for a different application than ours. I actually tested against the Akro FIRST with my Gen 1 system to be sure we could beat it and was rather amazed when we did. We have also updated from then to try to stay ahead of them and everyone else on the race track.

Our R&D pointed at acceleration testing separates us from most others.

We also pride ourselves on the fastest pipe with the best sound and a fantastic look....for a reasonable cost.

hey Brock,
I hope you are all settled into yr new digs, and the crazy move is over.

I have a DL-32/LC-1 recording system on my bike and am running yr sidewinder.

The O2 sensor is mounted on the meg about 2" after the join of the meg & 2:1 "midpipe".

problem
The AF signal recorded is not very smooth and the AF shown on a DJ250 is substantially leaner than that shown on my on-board system. Sample pipe for the DJ250 is placed up into the "1" of one of the 2:1 collectors.

Q: where do you rec placing an O2 sensor on yr SW???

Any advice would be most helpful
Karl

Entropy I am running the LM-1 on Brocks sidewinder, the sensor is about     4 1/2 inches back measured from the front edge of the megaphone section.

The a/f reads same as  the dyno. The a/f trace is very eratic at idle and low rev/ low load conditions I gues due to very low flow and turbulance.

My Q for you is; are you using the LMA-2 for the rpm signal? If so what signal are you picking up from and is your rpm reading the same as your PC111??.

After lots of wasted time trying all the obvious signal inputs I have ended up using tne inductive clamp on coil#4. Am getting a good clean tracebut reading low compared to the tach and PC111.

Any help greatly appreciated.

rossco,
i am now using the DL-32 to pick up rpm, etc, and take rpm signal off an injector driver outa the ECU, works great.

I was using a LM-1 & LMA-2 until just recently and had all kinds of problems getting a clean rpm signal until using the injector pulse. Thanks to DaveO for that tip.

Q: what ground are you using for the LMA-2??

entropy

thanks for that.

I am using the ground from yhe TPS as that is the only "sensor" I am logging and it is reading sweet.

As I said the rpm trace is nice and clean, it just appears to be reading a bit low.

What method exactly were you using with the injector pulse?

My mail; rosstpg@bigpond.net.au if you want to use that rather than the forum.

Thanks in advance for your help.
