Caution: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN ANY PCV MAP unless the PCV program has been installed on your computer from the CD supplied with your PCV unit. This program, in addition to a complete users guide, is also available from downloads page of http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/Downloads/Default.aspx

Attention:  MAP SHARING IS **NOT PERMITTED**----Anyone suspected of sharing Brock’s Performance Maps (or modified versions of original Brock maps) will be TERMINATED from the Map Support, Technical Support and Discount Purchase Programs. See notes below.

Brock’s Performance map represents typical combination for street and/or track use based on stock engine management combinations. See map notes for specific use.

NOTE: The PCV’s have a VERY limited note holding capability. (There is nothing we can do to expand this area, so multiple abbreviations are required. Check the Test and Race (Private) area for detailed explanations of these abbreviations.)

This map is for use in 2008-20010 CBR1000RR’s with a Stock Engine and Brock's Performance Alien Head Exhaust System using a Dynojet PCV.

This map represents typical combinations for street and track use based on stock engine management combinations. These combinations include the addition of a Dynojet IRC-1 or Bazzaz Z-Bomb installed (if desired) with NO map changes required.

**ATTENTION**

Removal of the Secondary Throttle Plates IS NOT RECOMMENDED on the Gen 2 Busa and the maps included ARE NOT intended for use with the plates removed. The 2008 Busa is as close to factory RACE BIKE as you can get so the secondary plates are used to smooth the power NOT restrict power as occurs with other bikes (ZX-14). These plates have no affect on power output with the mode selector switch set on the highest power A setting.

The Busa is NOT CLOSED LOOP. The factory 02 sensor is ONLY used to adjust for emissions. Once the jumper plug is installed the mapping works just like the older Busa’s.  The factory O2 sensor MUST BE REMOVED for these maps to operate properly. (FYI: a jumper plug is included with you power commander).

See the Hayabusa (2008) Test and Race Information in the private section of our information forum in addition to the map notes for specific details:

Basic Map Description

TRACK MAP- for use on the drag strip with air cleaner removed using oxygenated fuel (MR9, MR11, etc…)

STREET MAP- for use on the street with air cleaner installed using pump gas (any octane--we dyno with BP 87-93)

**IMPORTANT**

1.   DO NOT remove the Secondary Throttle Plates (Flies) on ANY 600 - 1000 cc machine.

2.   DO NOT remove the Secondary Throttle Plates (Flies) on Gen 2 (2008-09) Busa's.

3.   The stock air fuel (O2) sensor MUST BE REMOVED for these maps to operate properly! (FYI: A jumper plug is included with you power commander if your bike was originally equipped with this device).

See the Test and Race Information (Private) in the private section of our information forum in addition to the map notes for specific details:

DO NOT DISTRIBUTE--This map is property of Brock Davidson Enterprises, Inc.

Brock’s Performance will supply maps to approved customers on an individual basis through the Map Support link located on our Brock’s Performance home page (www.BrocksPerformance.com). A map support request must be submitted EVERY TIME an additional map is requested. This is the ONLY way we can be sure we have your latest/updated information which will allow us to send you the best map available for your application.

DO NOT SHARE THIS MAP!  We have worked hundreds of man hours and spent countless dollars to perfect our mapping. We simply cannot afford to have it provided to non-customers. (There is also a VERY good chance that one of our maps will be used to out run YOU if they are provided to others!)

FYI: If you purchased your Power Commander directly from Brock’s Performance Products, there will be a HAND WRITTEN tag on the back of the unit indicating the correct map has already been pre-loaded and verified.

To load a specific map from your map support request, see below.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LOAD or VIEW THIS MAP UNLESS YOU ARE IN THE POWER COMMANDER V PROGRAM!

FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO PROPERLY INSTALL THE MAP:

Step 1: Save the attached map file(s) in this e-mail to your Desktop.

Double left click on the attachment (with paper clip icon) Example: “BPP-XXX” .pvm in this e-mail.

A screen will appear asking if you would like to open the file or save it to disk

Left click: on save to disk

Left click: ok

Left click: on the arrow pointing down (at the top of the screen) marked “Save in”

Left click: Desktop

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 2: Install the PCV map from your desktop using your PCV Program.

Double left click on the PCV icon on your desk top--or Start menu.  (If you do not have this icon, you must install the PCV program from the CD-ROM supplied with your PCV.)

Attach the MICRO USB cable included with your PCV from your computer’s USB port to the PCV.

Your Power Commander should go live (look for a green POWER light on the face of the PCV unit).  Also look for movement or changes on the right hand side of the screen.

Note: The PCV will interface the same whether it is mounted on your bike or not. No additional power is required as it is now powered via the USB port of your computer. If the unit does not connect with your computer, check the cable connection (remove and reinstall) or restart your computer and try again from the beginning.

Your PCV will automatically GET and DISPLAY the map pre-loaded into the unit. If this is the correct map for your application, unplug the cable-you are finished. If you would like to install or reinstall the map you received from our map support staff, please continue.

Select Open Map File.

Look in: Desktop (click the down arrow to choose Desktop from the drop down menu)

Double Left click on the map of your choice:  Example: “BPP-XXX” .pvm

Note: Click the TABLE link under the FUEL section on the left to view the map you are going to send to the PCV.

Select Send Map.

**Watch the bottom of the PCV screen for: “Map Written Successfully”**

If your map loads correctly, then you are finished.

Special Note from Brock:  Although not required in most stock engine applications for everyday enthusiasts using our map support program, we recommend and endorse the use of the Auto Tune option (purchased separately) to extract the most out of your new Power Commander V unit. We especially recommend this option for modified engines and for enthusiasts attempting to obtain absolute perfection in mapping for their particular combination. The most common variables which can affect map selection/tuning are: weather conditions, elevation, fuel type, air cleaner type (or air cleaner installed vs. removed for race track use, etc…) TRE installed (on some bikes), speed of operation (drag map vs. land speed map, etc…), maximum fuel economy, and a host of others depending upon your needs. 90% of our customers install our exhaust package with matching map and ride off as happy as can be. Remember, our original maps can be requested/reloaded at any time.

Always Wear Safety Gear.

Good Luck and GO FAST!
