Hey guys,

My 2012 ZX14R surges at idle for 10 sec or so once the Bike is cranked up and right after I let off the throttle. Sounds cool but is a MAJOR pain when tooling through the pits in 1st gear at very low throttle opening. When riding the bike, it starts bucking and jerking and I have to pull in the clutch. Does it warm or cold. The map I have is the street/strip map for 89 octane.
Anything I need to ck or any changes I need to make? Runs good otherwise.

Thanks,
-Mark

Mark,

Serveral questions:

1. Do you have our 'Brock Flash 2' in your ECU?
2. Are your flies installed or removed?
3. Have you followed all of ZX-14R private owners info?

Brock,

1) No flash at all
2) Flies removed
3) Are you refering to the printed info that came with the pipe/pc? If so, i believe i have but will go back over it again to make sure i didn't miss anything.

Mark,

In the body of the e-mail containing your maps, you were instructed to go here: https://www.brocksperformance.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2250

Please go there and see if all of the info. was followed. Please note the OEM air filter mod.

Since you don't have our flash, you don't have all of the items in our 'package'.
Some low speed drivability issues are addressed in the flash.

Try the street map for now - it should help.

Brock

Brock,

Must have missed where you last replied. My son was hit by a car while he and I were riding bicycles(he is ok, has broken foot and cuts/bruises, but very good considering) so I have not revisited this issue. I never got an email with any maps or instructions to go anywhere. Thanks for posting that. I believe you nailed my problem. The map I have is the pumptrackmap. I see that you mention surging with that map. I'll see if I can get the street map.

BTW, I also have done the airfilter mod as mentioned in the above link(did it when I installed the pipe/pcv). Also, I do plan to have the ecu flashed, just gotta gather the funds!

Thanks again for your help!

Steve,

I don't have the "Brocks Performance Order Number". I ordered the pipe and PC from Smokin Performance Cycles(Lee Pritchard)at seperate times. He PM'd me the number but i must have deleted the PM as i am unable to find it now. I PM'd him to see if maybe he still has the number.
The map support page states it needs that number.
