Hard to believe no one, especially you guys, haven't done a relatively back to back dyno pull on ... stock vs. BMC Sreet vs. BMC Race air filtet (2012 ZX-14). Brock, please don't tell me you have been hushed by the powers to be. Well, can't say I blame you. We all gotta make that money. If my winter hibernation has caused me to somehow miss this, I apologize. Otherwise could you please do this. So simple, help us out, can't take all experts at our Thursday night bench race sessions. Give us the "real" deal Brock and help us put this to rest .................. Or are ya scared, Lol. Seriously tho' .... Thanks in advance Brock - you Rock.

Moose,
BMC just released the race filter for the 2012 ZX-14R, that is why we have not tested the race compared to stock, we hope to have them in stock next week.

moose,
Dyno testing only tells half of the story. True performance gains in the real world can only be properly measured at the drag strip, and our tracks are are not open yet. Additionally, a proper 'comparison' would not be considered valid by simply measuring the OEM filter against a single aftermarket brand or even two versions of that brand. A true test would be performed by comparing OEM vs multiple brands. We know that K&N should have their Street and Race versions available for testing soon + , if all goes well, there will also be a couple of 'special' versions thrown into the mix just to shake things up a bit Disclaimer: the statements above are all based entirely upon hearsay, rhetoric and saber rattling, combined with prototype and production scheduling (of other companies) beyond the control of anyone here at Brock's Performance. Calling, emailing, face-booking or any other attempts to uncover results or information before they are publicly posted will prove futile! Brock |

True, dyno-testing doesn't tell the whole story. But unti you came along that is all most of us have had to go by ... tuning included. That being said thanks for your maps. I run your CT single ... looks, sounds and performs. Looking forward to toggling over to my Track map and smelling some MR 12 this summer. This winter I do my usual and one of the easiest things I did to my bikes was put new or cleaned my BMC Race filters. Finally got the "right" filter. Love BMC ... but boy did they have a serious lack of communication over there. Somebody definitely was lax in their duties. Maybe it was Leo Vince's issue, but it seems like they are getting it straight and catalogs and listings updated. So, just curious, my buddies and I just for a little fun, have a little bet going. I picked BMC (of course). Some K&N, and a couple even going with stock. So, thanks again to you and the guys over there. If, when you do the real world test of all the players ... It should be a really good and interesting read. Might be a little wait for K&N tho'. Have a fun and safe summer everyone. Maybe see you at MIROC Brock. Later ...................
