The spigots for the Ti systems are an upgrade from the old big CC spigots but are similar.

I understand that as they are different sized tubing, I was wondering if the design was similar, not if it was a bolt on.

KZScott,

The Titanium spigots and the stainless spigots are totally different. The CT and TiWinder parts will not work on the stainless systems.

are the CT and TI Winder spigots similarly designed as the big cc spigots? Ive never seen the big cc ones, but Im interested in upgrading the power on a regular Brock SW, which as far as I can tell uses the same spigots as just about all the street pipes

We have decided to discontinue the Big CC's.

Our standard Spigots have set records on dyno's, drag strips, and land speed.

Brock, actually they do not leak at all I used a little copper silicone on assembly.I was just curious because when tightened the flanges do bend

which I would say is normal but the spigots will almost slip thru the flange.But functionaly they have worked fine I am very pleased w/exhaust & the big motor map you emailed me was very close when put on dynojet 250 load control dyno for fine tuning.   Thanks again!!

Yours were prototypes...they should actually work better!

We got "trick" with them later....to screw things up!

Do they leak?

I think my big cc adapters are prototypes,the flat piece (flange) is made of steel instead of aluminum & seams to bend fairly easily when tightened.My question is are the aluminum ones thicker,stronger than the early steel ones?They were purchased from Lee Shierts.

The Big CC Spigot issue is two part. 

Part one is definitely my fault…. The big CC spigots are intended for use by serious performance enthusiasts who usually know how to install after-market hard parts, or at least call or e-mail for advice if they don’t…..as a result, we made the HUGE mistake of not sending FULL COLOR installation instructions complete with photos, notes, and torque specifications…like we do on nearly all of our products!! (If we do not include them, it’s because they are not finished yet!) 

For leak-free performance on these specialty race parts, a small amount of Permatex Ultra Copper must be used in the spigot. If it is not used, leaks can be noticed as the bike is fired or develop after several heat cycles. 

This is where part two begins. It is natural to attempt to re-tighten the clamp plates if a leak is noticed.

The problems we are seeing is that the plates are being GROSSLY over-tightened, which leads to distortion and even more leaks! We have remedied the problem for anyone who has called. The rest, we must assume, are working properly.  

If ANYONE has purchased a set of our big cc spigots and has ANY problem, PLEASE CALL ME!!

We will do anything in our power to resolve the problem AT ZERO COST to the purchaser (no shipping cost at all, even to return any damaged parts). 

The benefits of the Big CC spigots have been proven time and time again on the dyno and track all season…BUT, this is the RACE component. As a result, we try to make them as light-weight as possible….which is apparently too light for some?!

Note: The Big CC Spigots are the choice of top engine builders due to their design where the spigot meets the head. They are actually “portable” in the sense that some builders are using them with no gaskets at all (just a bit of Ultra Copper) and matching the exhaust ports to the spigots. Additionally, if the exhaust ports have been enlarged, the Big CC spigots can also be used without additional port work as they pose no restriction at the inlet of the spigot.

The standard spigots included with the Generation 3 StreetSmart Systems have been used trouble free since 1999 !!
