Brock, I have a PCIII (track map) on my 08 Busa. I have recently began doing some research and discovered information that the track map may not be the best application for a bike that spends very little time on the track. My confusion comes with the fact that the track map was the map installed on my PCIII. I have no intentions on taking out my air filter to run the bike on the street.

Modifications

Stock suspension, ram air seal tube kit mod, PCIII (tack map on 87 octane) Alien Head, Smart TRE, and CO2 shifter.

What is the benefit of the track over the street map?

Is the street map just as good as the track map?

What performance gains will I loose or gain by changing the two maps?

If I run a bike that has the track map against a street map (same rider) and (no modifications with fuel and filter removal) how should the bikes compare (all other things considered equal).

The track map is for use with no filter and MR9, MRX01, or any other similar race fuel.  This will hurt you on the street of you do not have the above.  The street map will help you out when using pump gas and your air cleaner.  If you have the track map without doing the modifications that we suggest and someone else has the street map, they will probably have more MPH than you at the traps.

Thanks Jason, That sheds a light on the issue. Also I've read that it is best not to change the air filter. Is this with regard to the street map?

If  I decide to use the track map, would a free flowing air filter serve the same or close to the same purpose as removing it, along with the MR9 type fuels?

Have you tested mixing pump gas and MR9 type fuels? If so, does damage still occur, and are there any benefits.

We do not recommend aftermarket air filters.  They do not flow as much as stock.  Also, we do not mix fuels at all because we want to go as fast as possible not almost as fast as we can.
