Latest update: October 13, 2009

Aftermarket products NOT available from Brocks Performance: As a general rule, if you don't see a particular product available in our Brock's Performance store.. Its because we do not consider it worth selling! We use what we sell and we sell what we use. We pay little or no attention to market trends or fancy product marketing. The bottom line is this; if Brock feels that a particular product should be used on your motorcycle to make it BETTER in any way, we try to make it available through Brocks so that we can provide the highest level of customer support possible. If a particular product is not listed in our store (example: aftermarket gauze type air cleaners for STREET use) it's because we have found them to be no advantage compared to stock. We don't want you to waste your money any more than you do and we certainly don't want to direct you to purchasing a product which will slow you down.

Naturally, there are some exceptions to this rule for particular use (street/drag race/land speed/road race/grudge race with large displacement engines etc.) we recommend calling our technical support staff for specifics.

ALL MOTORCYCLE OWNERS SHOULD REFERENCE THE 99-2007 HAYABUSA TEST AND RACE INFORMATION as this is our longest running and most updated information section :  http://www.brocksperformance.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1060

Our map structure and labeling is as follows:

TRACK MAP- for use on the drag strip with air cleaner removed using oxygenated fuel (MR9- MR11-U4.2 etc.)
DO NOT ride on the street with the air cleaner removed.

STREET MAP- for use on the street with air cleaner installed using pump gas (any octane- we dyno with BP93 for street use in hot conditions. 87-89 makes more power if the bike NEVER PINGS.if it does, convert to 91-93 Octane immediately)

Note: it is not necessary to switch maps back and forth. BUT the best drivability and performance will be noticed if you do.

TRE installed= No map changes required

NO SEC= Secondary throttle plates removed- DO NOT remove the secondary throttle plates on ANY new Suzuki (Busa or GSX-R1000)

The following information is also located in our Information Forum (at the bottom of the main page) Under the Test and Race Information- GSX-R1000 (2007) area. You can gain access to this updated area by filling out a Map/Private access Form located here:  http://www.brockracing.com/mapsupport.html

Guys,

HELLO!

I will be adding information as we figure out Suzukis latest killer 1000!

1:  Stock O2 Sensor: First and foremost, I need to clear up some items about this new little gadget. The 07 1K IS NOT CLOSED LOOP!!!in the traditional (automotive) form.

The Stock O2 sensor MUST BE REMOVED from the bike for proper performance! In a nutshell, this sensor is 'emission control BS' to help the bike pass more stringent (Euro 3 and Tier 2) air quality standards. Its job is to DRASTICALLY LEAN the air/fuel mixture at cruising speeds (ONLY!). Even if you have our map to correct this, the stock ecu will continue to remove fuel with the sensor installed.effectively rendering our map useless from a performance standpoint.

The simple fix (at the moment) is to install a power commander since it includes a jumper to remove the sensor from the wiring harness without letting the check FI light flash. This prevents the stock ECU from attempting to ruin our mapping.

Please note: We have now added our own O2 bung to allow the use of a Bosch sensor for use with our Innovate Technology A/F Meters (or a wideband unit, etc...) as a convenience to our customers! The stock sensor will not fit our bung and a plug is included with your exhaust (in the plastic hardware bag.)

If you do not have a power commander, then you can simply leave the stock O2 sensor plugged in and tie-wrap it up under the fairing until we find another way or until you purchase a power commander. Note: The 'check FI' light will flash if the sensor is removed from the bike without using the plug. We have not investigated the performance effect of this problem, and we wont. If you want your bike to be as fast as possible, you need a power commander with our map.

As always, maps are easily obtained by filling out a map request form. A shorter map form can be found here: http www.brockracing.com/dealermapsupport.html

2:  TRE use on the Suzukis: Note: The TRE simply locks the bike into the 5th gear map in the stock ECU which KILLS POWER after adding some additional torque in the lower revs. This power killing is a good idea on stock and short wheelbase 1000s. Please remember that the GSX-R1000 is a FACTORY RACE BIKE. The secondaries are used to control power to help the bike go faster. They are NOT an emissions/power restriction as seen on the ZX-14. There are no map changes required when using the TRE on any Suzuki.

3:  All short stacks: Suzuki part #13881-41G00. We use all 4 short stacks to help boost the high RPM power of this bike in conjunction with our exhaust design. This works especially well with our extended ECU mod. Note: Since your bike already has the short stacks in cylinders #1 and #4, you only need to purchase TWO of the above part number.

4: Check F>I. Light: If you cut the correct wire going to your stock ECU, then you DO NOT need to install the Bow Tie plate provided with your exhaust system.  Instructions located here:

http://www.brockracing.com/Instructions/GSX_R1000_2007FI_LightDisconnect_CM.doc

Thats it for now. More to come soon.

Good Luck and GO FAST!

Brock
